What to do if mosaic appears in IPTV programs

When the mosaic phenomenon occurs in the IPTV system, on-site personnel are required to perform the following verification work according to the steps:
1. First verify the multicast VLAN number used for the IPTV live source on the project site;
2. In the computer room switch, add a port in the multicast VLAN to test the connection of the computer (if it has been added before, it can be used directly);
3. The test computer is connected to the switch port mentioned above;
4. Open the VLC software on the test computer, and select from the menu: Media-Open Network Streaming
5. Enter the multicast address corresponding to the channel where the mosaic appears;
6. Observe the quality of the broadcasted program and see if there is a mosaic.

If there is mosaic, please check the program source (such as satellite receiver, encoder link, set-top box)

How far(long) the transmitter cover?

The transmission range depends on many factors. The true distance is based on the antenna installing height , antenna gain, using environment like building and other obstructions , sensitivity of the receiver, antenna of the receiver . Installing antenna more high and using in the countryside , the distance will much more far.

EXAMPLE 5W FM Transmitter use in the city and hometown:

I have a USA customer use 5W fm transmitter with GP antenna in his hometown ,and he test it with a car, it cover 10km(6.21mile).

I test the 5W fm transmitter with GP antenna in my hometown ,it cover about 2km(1.24mile).

I test the 5W fm transmitter with GP antenna in Guangzhou city ,it cover about only 300meter(984ft).
