How to check the fault when the fault occurs - the studio side ?
If Fmuser's DSTL system fails during our testing, how should we find out what the fault is?
Let’s first look at the setting of the studio.
First, first look at the video input light of the encoder. When there is video input, the corresponding interface light will be always on. If the light is not bright, it represents a problem with the input source or the connection line between the input source and the encoder.
Second, look at the bit stream status of the encoder. Press the left button of the encoder keyboard, and the encoder's display will show the bit stream status. If the bit stream is 0, it means that there is a problem with the input source.
Third, the next step is to look at the data light of the switch. When there is data through, the data light will always blink. If the data light is off or steady, check the device or network cable of the corresponding interface.
Fourth, finally look at the indicator light of the POE power supply. If the light is not on, it means that there is a problem with the POE power supply or the two network cables connected to the POE power supply.
These are the problems in the studio side of Fmuser's DSTL system .
 
How to check which part fail when the fault occurs - the transmitting tower side.
If Fmuser's DSTL system fails during our testing, after we check the studio side , than we now can check the transmitting tower side.
First, check if the video played by the display is normal or not. If it is not normal, it means that there is a problem with the connection between the decoder and the display.
Second, look at the bit stream state of the decoder, press the left button of the decoder keyboard, and the decoder's LCD display will show the bit stream status. If the bit stream is 0, it represents there is a connection problem between the decoder and the switcher, or there is connection problem between the two bridges.
Third, look at the data light of the switcher. As with the studio, when there is data through, the data light will always flashing. If the data light is off or steady, check the device or network cable of the corresponding interface.
Fourth, finally look at the indicator light of the POE power supply. If the light is not on, it means that there is a problem with the POE power supply or the two network cables connected to the POE power supply.
These are the problems in transmitting tower side of Fmuser's DSTL system .
 
How to change the input interface and resolution.
I have told you before that the encoder in Fmuser's DSTL system can be input with HDMI, RCA and SDA.
But after changing the input interface, we need to change the configuration of the encoder, so what do we need to do?
First, let's first check the keyboard of the encoder, (←↑→↓)this one arrow button, (OK)this is a OK button, (EXIT)this is an exit button .
Second, we first unlock the keyboard, enter the setup main menu, press the OK button and then press the exit button to enter the setup main menu.
Third, select the first item “1.Video Audio” and press the OK button to enter. Then select "1.1.Input Interface". Use the arrow button to select the interface you want to change. After selecting it, press the OK button to confirm.
Fourth, select “1.2.Video Format” and select the appropriate resolution according to the actual situation. Press the OK button to confirm.
Fifth, press the EXIT button to return to the setup main menu and select “5.Save Config”. Press the OK button again to confirm and save , then restart the encoder .
This is the process of changing the input interface and setting up the encoder.
