3D printing can wear Iron Man arc reactor

Iron Man may be my favorite fictional role in history. Maybe because he is a person without superiority. He can use his own tools to change the environment around him. I always wanted to make a glowing Arc Reactor, this time I finally realized the project, no matter what you want to play Tony Stark or the Halloween's clothing, this project may suit you. Be Total build time: Once all 3D printing parts are printed, you should be able to assemble all parts within 1-2 hours. 3D print object: Arc reactor 3D STL file Print 1 LED lamp / optical diffuser Print 2 elastic connectors Print 1-5X Arc Reactor Panel Need accessories: Round 12V LED ring (90 mm - used for outer edge curved circular light) Round 12V LED (30mm - used in central arc lamps) 1 inch elastic fabric (for wearable seat belts) 2-line tailor connector (easy to modular plug) Modular embedded LED light switch (for opening and closing the lamp) Kim Bawang 9V Battery (for portable power) tool: 3D printer (for printing arcing reactor lamp holders, panels and harness connector) Transparent 3D printer filament (for printing light diffuser seats and harness connector) Opaque 3D printer filament (for printing different barrier arc reactor panel design) Solder Iron Kit - includes solder and heat shrinkable tube (for welding LED lights together and connecting wire) Scissors (for cutting 1 inch elastic band) Needle and wire (for permanent closure of the elastic ring on the strap) Hot glue gun (used to bond LED into 3D lamp holder / diffuser) Step 1: Prepare artwork for 3D modeling I first browsed all arc reactor design I can found online. I copied photos of different arc reactors and paste into Adobe Illustrator and followed by their images to create symmetrical vectors at the top. After completing the first five design, I export each individual design as a DXF file so that they can be imported into Autodesk Fusion 360. Step 2: Construct the lamp holder in Fusion360 If you want to start 3D modeling, I strongly recommend that you learn from Autodesk Fusion 360. Because it is very intuitive, just a few basic tutorials, you will master it. The first step is to design a "light" section. This is the most important part of the design, you need to think about how to take the LED light on the wearable device. I use the size restriction of the lamp I have. Designed to match the size of the lamp, this makes it relatively relatively relatively relatively relatively relatively easy to create a design process based on the LED size (90 mm outer ring LED, 30 mm center bulb LED). Step 3: Modify the arc reactor panel in the Fusion360 Once I know my size from the lamp holder, I can infer the circumference and determine the panel to need more width / thickness. I imported the first Arc Reactor to import the DXF file into the Fusion360 and created the first panel. Then I reduced the panel to approximately 2 mm (enough to block the light but not too fragile). In order to truly fix the panel on the lamp holder, I added a small "convex" in four corners. After several test printing, I determined that it was very fit, then designed a sketch for the subsequent arc reactor. Next, you only need to export your STL file and ready to print! Step 4: 3D Print 3D file Print 1 LED lamp / optical diffuser Print 1 "Quick Connection" buckle Print 2 elastic connectors Print 1-5X Arc Reactor Panel Step 5: Install 12V LED light in the lamp holder First remove the original plastic optical diffuser that the HALO LED ring belongs. Testing the LED light is mounted in the housing and placed them outside. Now we need to set the center LED light from the ring LED light. Two wires measure the appropriate length and weld two lamps together. At the end of the lamp assembly, a connector is welded at the end to add some modular functions. Step 6: Create a wearable elastic wire bundle Gently heaten the side of the side by a hot air gun to make them more bond your chest shape. Place the arc-shaped reactor in your chest position and confirm its curvature, and good shape. Take a piece of 1 inch elastic fabric strap material. I chose white because it can hide well under any color of clothes. As shown, cutting 10 inches around a small band and passing it through two 3D print connectors. We call it "strap". Estimate the length of the side belt by wraping the elastic band around half around half Step 7: Test installation and complete wearable seat belts Be careful in the seat belt. There is a friend to help you complete this part, try not to let the elastic bandball! Tighten all strips and release any relaxation portion. Shoulder straps should be very tight, but don't be too tight. Adjust the loosening according to personal preferences. After setting the shoulder strap position, secure them in place and / or with a pencil mark to re-create a shoulder strap length as needed when removing the seat belt. Remove the seat belt, then sew all loose bands with a needle and line. When all the rings are closed and the straps are firmly in place, find a point near one side belt near the chest, preferably under your arm, so the buckle can hide. This is where we have to place "quick release" buckle. Use the lighter to gently gravip the broken end of the tape strip to prevent them from worrying or dispel. That's it! We have completed it! Your DIY Arc Reactor has a strap can now be worn. Step 8: Wear and take off the wearable seat belt The left arm passes through the left shoulder strap and towards the head. Extend the head into two shoulder straps. Shoulder straps should be flat on your shoulders. Place the Arc Reactor bracket in the center of the chest you wish to stay. Insert your modular embedded LED light switch (linked to the supply section). Insert the 9V battery into the other end of the light switch cable. Place your favorite Arc Reactor panel on the light source. Since this Arc Reactor is designed to wear it under the shirt, place your you want on top. Step 9: What is your favorite arc reactor? The above is about all of this project, there is a problem welcome to comment on message exchange. https://www.instructables.com/iron-man-weaable-arc-reactor-under-shirt-5-design/
