AMD: We never give up DIY

Recently, Intel 2014 Broadwell processors may cancel the LGA independent package and only provide a message of BGA integration package, and immediately arouse the waves. Although Intel has neither confirmed this news, as two OEM vendors have confirmed, it seems that Intel's future CPU must be DIY market. Naturally, everyone thinks with Intel's AMD for many years. This time, AMD consciously stood out to make a statement, indicating that their future plan (intel) is very different. Below is a statement that AMD spokesperson Chris Hook has just issued: In terms of support for DIY and desktop hardware market, AMD has been worked for many years, and our CPU / APU supports partner's motherboard products that support very widely. Moreover, the future 2013-2014 Kaveri APU and FX CPU will continue this fine tradition. We did not turn to the BGA package, and the support of the important market for DIY will be as always. As the company has introduced BGA packages in ultra-thin platforms many years ago, we can understand Intel's keen from this practice for ultra-thin platforms / integrated / embedded applications / tablets. But for the desktop market, AMD has many followers and built their own brands. We understand what they are most, and we have confidence to continue to bring a better price / performance and experience. In this case, I want to "warm" a large number of DIY players. At least, in the two major CPU manufacturers, there is still a clear representation that it will not give up DIY. Of course, considering the recent dilemma of AMD, it is difficult to predict what their product will be like 2014, everything is still difficult to say, wait and see.
