    ARDUINO-based automatic welding fan

After removing the soldering iron from the bracket, the solder fan is automatically opened and closed. Hardware components: Arduino Uno WiFi version 2 × 1 KY-032 infrared obstacle avoidance sensor module × 1 5V single-channel relay module × 1 Mounting bracket × 1 Manual tools and makers: Soldering iron (general) Many times, I will think about the next connection or project, and forget to open the solder fan. At other times, I just need to fix one connection here or solder one or two wires there, and it seems that there is no need to take extra time to close my fan, open it, work and close it. I am lazy? possible! On the other hand, some people may have been driving a fan during work, although this solves the problem, but the increased environmental noise may disperse. I would rather listen to music, and I don't want to listen to the next 30 minutes of the soldering fan operation. So, is there a solution? Yes! DIY automatic welding fan! construction project The DIY automatic welding fan is essentially a method that automatically runs our solder firing after each of the solders is removed from its bracket, and then automatically shuts down when it retracts it back to the bracket. In this way, we don't have to disturb the switch fan, we will always clear those smoke! Let's take a look at this project! DIY automatic welding fan The core of the project is a KY-032 infrared disorder sensor. I am often used to avoid barriers, and it is found in simply detecting any objects (including our soldering iron) in a simple detection. We will use this sensor to detect whether the soldering iron is in front of the sensor, or whether it has been removed from the bracket. KY-032 infrared disorder sensor step 1 3D printing bracket First, I designed a bracket in Fusion 360 to fix our avoidance sensors. I decided to place the sensor perpendicular to the iron, so that the heat generated by the iron caused the stent to deform. 3D printing bracket Step 2 Relay and junction box Next, I connect the high voltage power cord to the relay. If you are not comfortable, please don't try to use 120V, safety first. When our sensors have detected the iron already left the bracket, a signal will make the relay power, and we will get a closed connection to power the fan. Relay and junction box third step Wiring Arduino. Refer to the schematic. After the wiring, install Arduino to the junction box and close it in its own protective case. Arduino finished box Step 4 Code Arduino. The code of our project is very simple. From essentially, we have a state of a loop read sensor. If the sensor does not detect the object, the relay will open the solder fan and vice versa. It's that simple.
