Automotive start / stop control solution based on NCV8876

Ans Mei's NCV8876 is a non-synchronous boost controller that provides a minimum output voltage when the vehicle battery voltage falls during the vehicle start / stop. This controller drives an external N-channel MOSFET. The device uses peak current mode control and internal slope compensation. Its IC integrates an internal regulator to provide charge to the door drive. Protection features include progressively cycle current limiting protection and thermal shutdown. Other features include low-static current sleep mode operations, when the power supply voltage is lower than 7.3V, the NCV8876 is turned on, and when the power supply voltage is below 6.8V, the boost operation is turned on. Evaluation board NCV887601 The NCV887601 evaluation board provides a high-frequency boost controller (for the vehicle start / stop, when the vehicle battery voltage falls, providing a minimum output voltage), a convenient evaluation method. The device is a low IQ sleep mode (under normal battery operating conditions), when the monitoring voltage is below 7.3V, that is, woken up, and adjusts when the voltage reaches 6.8V. Its switching frequency is set to 440 kHz (the user selectable ROSC resistance). The rated power of the evaluation board is 6.8V / 3.6A (at 2.6V). If the output current is reduced, an operation below 2.6V can also be performed.
