According to Yingji, Sama5D3 XPLAINED (Atsama5D3-XPLD) is the latest product in the Atmel XPlained Development Kit series, which is mainly designed for wearable computers and low power mobile applications, but also for industrial human interface, gateways and Robot application and other fields.
Atmel claims that the SAMA5D3 SOC of 536 MHz can provide 850DMIPS computing power at a low power level of 200 mW, and its 166MHz bus speed enables data transfer rate of 1328MB / s. Due to its embedded floating point arithmetic unit, the performance of SAMA5D3 has been greatly improved, and its LCD TFT controller contains a graphics accelerator, supports Overlay, Alpha mix, rotation, scaling, and color space conversion.
