The first edition of the HEVC / H.265 video compression standard was accepted as a formal standard for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T) on April 13, 2013, and the standard is high efficient video coding. H.265 is a new video coding standard established after ITU-T VCEG followed by ITU-T VCEG followed. H.265 High Profile enables a transport bandwidth below 1.5 Mbps to implement 1080P full HD video transmission. Under the same image quality, the video size encoded by H.265 is reduced by approximately 39-44% compared to H.264.
