When I first hover in the Maker Faire's Mech Warfare area, a population caused my attention, because there was a group of people in the robot competition. This is indeed a hacker's robot competition. There are restrictions, but there is also a lot of free space. Meet the space of more than a dozen robots, you can create additional requirements as you want. My favorite part is that this is not a destructive event like many battles based on the battle-based robotic TV program. Instead, these robots carry an electric Airsoft gun and try to hit any of the four target panels on the robots of their competitors. This reminds me of Tachikoma, this is a giant four-segment from Ghost In the shell. This is not only the number of legs - limited to four or fewer - similarity. For each round, the robot is placed in a miniature model of a city, and the operator uses the FPV hardware I have seen in the flight drone. This setting allows them to drive the mechanical device of the building size, and the viewer can watch the monitor next to the match. I haven't seen one such incident before, but this group has competed for five years. Some search results can be traced back to similar events in 2011 and later. We even saw the details of the competition robot on HackADAY.IO, which truly showed the engineering design of these robots. This is just a short film, providing a glimpse of fun.
