I have always had an idea in my mind: DIY an Android phone. Very happy last month, I got a plate called Riotboard, which made a high match with ARM CortexTM-A9, which made me feel on this board. But as a rookie, I have a long way to go. So I thought, first dismantled my domestic tablet P85, learn the hardware architecture of the next flat. I have been thinking in thinking: P85 does not have a GSM module, there is no Bluetooth module, when I have it, I will add it to myself! Start my dismantling learning trip.
Before dismantling, open it first, let everyone see, I downloaded a folk ROM package to P85 brush, very fresh and beautiful background desktop.

As shown in the figure, the button is sequentially: sound (plus \ minus), HOME button, and power switch key.
Let's introduce the dismantling process:
Since there is no screws around the tablet, it is estimated that its housing package should be a bayonet.
The method of disassembling the outer casing is simple: violent crack at the slit with a word screwdriver.

The first is to use your fingernail + a word screwdriver, so that you will take a slit in 1, you will find that you can pull out the bay, then use the same method to make your strength at 2, 3, and will eventually happen. Then, then, 4, 5 ···· 10, will surprise that the original tablet is so good, the real difficulty has been solved in front of 1, 2, and 3.

The internal construction of the tablet is very clear: the battery, board, and the display. The back cover of the tablet is pure aluminum alloy, beautiful!

Preliminary analysis of the module circuit of the board:
After the analysis is finished, then dismantled. It is easy to remove the yellow tape to open a variety of cables.
First remove the battery:
Taipower official website said this battery is 3900mA polymer lithium battery, unknown. The left green strip is the protection circuit board for the battery.
Solid the liquid crystal screen line:
It can be seen very clearly that the left is the cable displayed by the LCD screen, and the right side is the cable of the touch screen.
Due to careful numbers, the role of this conversion small board is to convert 40PIN to 50pin.
The number of touch screen cables is also digital, and it is 32PIN.
Then disassemble the camera module:
It is easy to remove the front-end camera baffles, you can see the camera module:
This is the front camera of P85, 300,000 pixels, and fixed focus.

4, WiFi module chip is used by Realtek's RTL8188CUS, which is also a commonly used chip for USB wireless network cards. This module has 6 solder joints, GND, D +, D-, VCC, signal ground, antenna.
5, P85 uses 8555LN chip for audio decoding, which can provide a variety of audio formats.
6, 263 7660 Chip, three-axis acceleration sensor, is usually the gyroscope, but it seems to be used as a simple gravity sensor in the official P85 ROM and does not use its three-way acceleration, angular rotation and other functions.
7, WM8325G, intelligent power management chip, very common in domestic tablet, seems to now use it is the upgrade version of WM8326G, can also be said to be a Royal power management chip of the RK program, you can provide dual-way 2.5A and dual way 1A, a total of 7A power supply capacity, is quite relaxed on RK3066, and the heat of the chip is also quite small.
8, DTC34LM85AL, LCD screen display drive chip, is a 85MHz LVDS flat panel display data transmitter introduced by Doestek. Broadband high-speed interface makes the chip to solve the best solutions for EMI and cable size. Mainly used in flat panel displays, LCDs.
It is also possible to imagine that the LCD screen of the P85 display and the LVDS video output should be supported simultaneously.
9, FT5306DE4, the touch chip of the capacitive screen is a high price-priced touch chip in Dtai, and the cable is 32PIN.
10, Alc5631, is the new type of audio codec launched in Rui, with a D-class speaker amplifier. Official data shows that digital-to-analog converter signal-to-noise ratio is up to 100 dB, and the signal-to-noise ratio of analog-to-digital converter is 93dB. This chip can achieve a 45MW power output when the chip is 3.3V and 6 ohms. Support for digital 6-band equalizers to support software noise suppression. The P85 audio circuit is the cost-effective chip, MIC, earphone base, and speakers, all in this chip pin.
11, reset, buttons, SD cards, cameras, micro USB circuits do not introduce.
Summarize:
Through this dismantling P85, I learned some of the more excellent hardware architectural programs, such as the cost-effective DTC34LM85Al + Alc5631 LCD display touch screen scheme, Alc5631 audio coding decoding scheme. Both of these programs are high cost, can solve video, audio problems at low cost. I also recognize the use of some functional chips, such as 263 7660 chip (three-axis acceleration sensor), 8555LN chip (audio decoding), ALC5631 chip (touch).
Since the CPU of this board does not lead to some pins for users to develop, I want to add hardware modules (such as Bluetooth, GSM, GPS module), which seems difficult to do unless the board is removed, unless the board is removed. Or modify some of the circuits of the MIRO USB port.
From the overall look at the hardware design of this circuit board, the design of this board is still very nice, hardware selection is also a good balance of performance demand and prices. Among them, the WiFi module, the touch module is external welding on the board, which also indicates that if the two function modules of the tablet are damaged, it is also available.
It is also this dismantling tablet, which makes me really feel the core CPU, RK3066 power, only need to take some interface circuits, and build a good tablet with a good performance!
