Five recommendations for the treatment of snake lines in high speed PCB design

1. Try to increase the distance (s) of the parallel line segment, at least greater than 3 h, the distance from the signal circle to the reference plane. Popular saying is to wind around the big bend, as long as S is large enough, almost completely avoid mutual coupling effects. 2. Reduce the coupling length LP, when twice the LP delay is close or exceeded, the resulting crosstalk will be saturated. 3. Signal transmission delay caused by a Strip-line or a serpentine line of the embedded micro-strip is smaller than the micro-strip. In theory, the strip line does not affect the transmission rate due to differential crosstalk. 4. High-speed and signal lines with a stricter requirement for timing, try not to take the serpentine line, especially in small rows. 5. You can often use any angle-shaped serpentine trace to effectively reduce the coupling between each other. 6. In high-speed PCB design, the serpentine does not have the ability to filter or interfere with the ability of filtering or anti-interference, and only the signal quality is lowered, so it is only used for timing matches without other purposes. 7.
