The MGC3130 is the world's first electric field-based configurable 3D gesture controller, providing accurate, fast and stable low-power hand tracking and free space gesture identification.
The MGC3130 is as low as 150 μW in the active induction state, even when the power consumption budget of the battery is very tense, 3D gesture recognition can always be implemented. In fact, the low-power design and multiple configurable power modes of the MGC3130 implement the minimum power consumption of any 3D sensing technology - the power consumption of the camera-based gesture system is 90%.
With its on-line library (called Colibri Suite) on an intuitive and natural human gesture, GESTIC technology has reached the high gesture recognition rate required to consumer electronics. Colibri Suite combines a random Hidden Markov model and x / y / z hand position vector, providing designers with a reliable recognized 3D hand and finger gestures, easy to apply to the product. Examples include wake-up, position tracking, bullet gestures, drawing gestures, and symbol gestures to perform such as on / off, open applications, pointing, clicking, scaling, scrolling, free space mouse hovering, and many other features. Simply simply match the system command to Microchip's extensive scheduled and verified gesture set, the designer can use this library to express the product quickly, and reduce the development risk. Development support
Microchip also released the Sabrewing MGC3130 single area assessment kit (Part No. DM160217), which is now available and can be ordered through the Microchip sales representative. The kit provides a 5 "or 7" optional electrode size, allowing designers to develop using MGC3130. This kit comes with the Aurea graphical user interface (free download from http://www.microchip.com/get/s238) to make designers to easily match Microchip Colibri Suite. Colibri Suite is a huge database containing a large number of experienced natural 3D hands and finger gestures, which have been pre-programmed in MGC3130.
