"Today, I'd like to introduce the two newest members of the STM32 family. As the newest member of STM32 product family of STMicroelectronics, stm32f7x0 and h7x0 value lines microcontrollers (MCU) will provide developers with higher flexibility. This series of products are applicable to the development of real-time IOT device application system with close price and performance orientation, and will not affect the function or network security of the target application.
These new product lines simplify the functions of embedded flash memory and retain only the most basic important configurations, but they can still safely run safe startup codes, sensitive codes and real-time routines on the chip, giving play to the advantage that the memory access time of embedded flash memory is more than 25 times faster than that of external flash memory (in case of cache failure). When necessary, designers can expand the application system in the following two ways. The first method is to add an off chip serial or parallel (up to 32-bit) memory to give full play to the advantages of various on-chip external interfaces and local execution (XIP) functions. The second method is to transplant the application code to the pin compatible stm32f7 or stm32h7 series. These two series have built-in flash memory of up to 2mbyte and ram of 1mbyte, supporting the same ecosystem and easy-to-use development tools.
The new product line retains the powerful functions of stm32f7 and stm32h7, such as the most advanced peripherals, hardware accelerators, and the real-time architecture using ultra-high speed internal bus, short interrupt delay, fast start (~ 1ms) and other technologies. Flexible power consumption mode, gated power domain and on-chip power management technology can simplify the design, reduce the bill of materials cost and keep the new microcontroller energy-efficient.
In a safe and energy-efficient architecture, the new MCU scored 2020 points in the coremark performance test, making it an entry point for IOT innovation in medical, industrial, consumer and other application fields. Since the maximum operating junction temperature reaches 125 ° C, the performance of the processor core and peripherals can still be brought into full play even if the ambient temperature increases.
The entry-level stm32f730 integrates the art accelerator memory acceleration technology unique to STMicroelectronics to execute the code zero waiting cycle in flash memory. At the operating frequency of 216mhz, the coremark benchmark scored 1082 points. Peripheral interfaces include encryption hardware accelerator, a USB 2.0 high-speed port with phy and a can interface. On chip functions include hash algorithm hardware accelerator; Two can interfaces; Ethernet MAC controller; Camera interface; Two USB 2.0 interfaces with full speed PHY; 64K byte flash memory; 4kbyte instruction cache; 4kbyte data cache; 320kb system RAM; 6kB + 64KB TCM。
The high-end stm32h750 scored 2020 points in the coremark test at 400MHz, and a hardware JPEG encoder / decoder was added in the TFT controller and chrome art accelerator to achieve faster GUI graphics processing performance. The peripheral interface includes a canfd port; Built in time trigger function and additional canfd port of the best operational amplifier of the same kind; 16 bit ADC with operation rate up to 3.6msample/s. The on-chip memory includes 128KB flash memory, 16kb instruction cache, 16kb data cache, 864kb system RAM and 64KB + 128KB TCM.
