STMicroelectronics launch new moisture-proof radio frequency power transistors

STMicroelectronics launched two new moisture-proof RF (RF, Radio-frequency) power transistors to improve durability and reliability of the target application in the high tall wet environment. These two 50V RF DMOS devices are filled with the encapsulating chamber to prevent dielectric migration of die, such as silver graft crystal migration. This is a common phenomenon that occurs in the case of high temperature, bias and moisture binding. Using a glue package helps reduce the overall maintenance cost of the target application in a high humidity environment. STMic SD2931-12MR and 300W SD4933MR provide high-cost power RF solutions, which can be used for RF power generators of 50V industrial equipment, including induction heating, CO2 laser beam source, PECVD ((Plasma-enhanced Chemical Vapor) Deposition, ion reinforced chemical vapor deposition) Sputtering and solar cell manufacturing equipment. The breakdown voltage of SD4933MR is higher than 200V, which has the industry's highest, all of which have 65: 1 load loss function to achieve the most stringent design requirements. SD2931-12MR and SD4933MR have been officially put into mass production.
