Step 1 - Samsung Gear Live dismantling

In the "If there is no bad, don't repair it" book, the new Gear Live is amazingly similar to our Samsung GEAR2 talked in April.
We will guarantee that there is enough contrast - after all, you don't want to buy a smart watch that is not suitable for you, right?

First, look at the wristband. This is the same as GEAR2 alternative design. A small tie rod can solve one of the fixed sheath, then solve the wrist strap from the table.
Behind the smart watch is a heart rate monitor, and has its model: SM-R382.

The Torx T5 screw can then be discovered in the back of the Gear Live - this is the same type and size as LG G Watch.

Some repairs may not know - but we are very clear - these T5 TORX screws are non-magnetic.
We usually see a non-magnetic screw on the iPhone, where you are close to the digital compass - this or avoiding a good way to interfere with the sensor.
However, we are the best guess, it is to prevent magnetic or metal benders from being completely controlled with Gear Live smart watches.
Step 6
Remove the screw, you need a plastic booter to shake it, just like GEAR 2.
After the Gear Live is separated, there are two parts - the previous display device, all of the magic here will occur, and the back cover is where the power is located.
Step 7
First, let's take a look at the battery of Gear Live.
We use a mobile phone crowbling to shake the battery contacts of the back cover, and then clamp the power chamber from the rear panel with tweezers.
The battery is engraved with "1.14 WH". According to Mathemagics, there are 300 mAh batteries, we infer the design of 3.8 V of this watch running.

Then we look at your power button strip cable. It is temporarily like a champion, but the final tweezers will take it.
Hey, what is this? Bluetooth / Wi-Fi antenna? We did not expect this product to have Wi-Fi features! We don't know if Samsung has concealed some things waiting later, but we are very familiar with the text on the cable.
It is also worth noting that the liquid injury indicator. So although this device is "IP67 waterproof", we don't need to put it in the pool to test it.

Then we will focus on the vibrator device. We clearly know that this is the inside of the vibrator because there is also the model number of the GEAR LIVE SM-R382 in the vibrator.
This is also a limited amount of shock motor - only 449 in 5 billion.

The next is a wax: we have disassembled the display cable so that we can touch the bottom plate.
We gently push it with tweezers, and the board came out.
There is an even smaller bottom plate on this minimal bottom plate, which we found that the power input connector and a small organism sensor.

Slightly waiting for a while, the board is removed - we take the bottom plate and prepare to do some integrated circuit analysis:

Now we haven't used the tweezers yet, because this small heat-dissipating pad needs to be clamped with tweezers. We have mentioned that "use tweezers" is a useful and interesting thing?
In the lower surface of the heat dissipation pad, there is a Cypress Semiconductor Cytma545 touch screen controller flashing in bright light.
Will that monitor also removes tweezers? Unfortunately, it is attached to the metal chassis.
Step 13
Samsung Gear Live Repairability Score: 8 points (full range of 10 points, 10 points is the easiest fix)
The disassembly of the wristband is easy, and there are few less with usual watch wristbands - this makes it easy to replace wristbands and don't worry.
No matter the waterproof design, open the dial is not difficult. Take your T5 screwdriver with a kit tool, but don't expect a war.
Battery is easy to replace - there is also a "pull" flag.

In the repair, several small sticky PCBs (printed circuit boards) inside may bring some challenges.
The display device is bonded to the chassis, which makes the screen replacement difficulty, and the cost may be a bit expensive.
