In the satellite TV decoder (set-top box), it is sometimes not very convenient during use. You can only use a TV to use a set top box. If there are two TV, you have to install two set-top boxes, but also install the converter and double output high. Head, especially the two TV cars causing a lot of trouble and waste in the case of simultaneous watching, for this purpose, the set top box controller, there are several features:
1. Modify it using an outdoor antenna power box, aesthetically pleasing.
2. Connect the transfer control signal and satellite TV signal using a common coaxial cable, without another wiring.
3. The set-top box is not high, as long as there is a normal video and RF output function, it can perform a variety of TVs on various TVs. A small internal change is made. It does not affect the use of the set top box.
4. The production cost is low, and all components add up more than more than ten yuan.
5. You can use the original top box remote control to remotely control the set top box.
Production process of off-site controllers: first find a power box for normal ordinary outdoor antennas (even if you buy a only a few yuan). Remove components about control steering. Remove the circuit board, weld the upper components of the figures on the plate, reserved indicator, power cord, outer antenna jack, television plug, etc. Put the power box and install an infrared receiving head (infrared receiving head selects a plastic receiving head commonly used in color TV).
Modification of the receiver (set-top box): Open the machine. First find the output of the radio frequency modulator. A 2.2μF / 50V capacitor is connected to the RF output. The other end is connected to the remote input terminal of the decoding motherboard; simultaneously find the output of the panel infrared receiving head. A 2.2μF / 50V capacitor is stringed between the infrared receiving end and the decoding plate remote receiving end. That is, the modification is over.
The working process of the set-top box is as follows: First connect the set-top box and the off-site controller, and the 75-5 coaxial cable is directly plugged, and another one-on-one audio and video use a lotus plug. The cable length is determined between two television (two rooms). Plug in various connecting lines, including one end of the coaxial cable with the lotus plug into the set top box RF socket (generally using the video jack), open the top box power supply.
Place a different site controller next to the TV in another room.
Plug the 75-5 coaxial cable with one end of the antenna direct plug into the jack of the off-site controller (the outer antenna insertion port of the original antenna power box), and insert the radio frequency output insertion wiring on the off-site controller into the TV The aircraft antenna jack, open TV, you should receive a clear (set-top box radio modulator through 75-5 coaxial cable through 75-5 coaxial cable) set-top box signal, and open the power controller and open the controller switch.
The indicator light is on, and it can be used to operate the off-site remote control with the set-top box remote control, as long as the set-top box remote control is operated at the remote control receiver of the off-site controller. The infrared demodulated signal received by the infrared receiving head enters the remote input of the motherboard from the set top box RF socket by the 75-5 coaxial cable. The set-top box is turned on, and the 75-5 coaxial cable transmits the radio frequency TV signal output from the modem. A remote control signal after the modulation of infrared receiving head is also transmitted.
The set top box can also operate in another room.
It is worth noting that when the off-site controller is powered off, the switch on the off-site controller is disconnected. Otherwise, it will affect the normal remote control of the set top box.
