Overview
TEKBOX Open Radio Box Tem CellTBTCX EMC Electromagnetic Compatible Radiation Harassment Test or Immunity Test is typically carried out in an electromagnetic shield chamber, and the radiation signal is received using an antenna. Due to bandwidth limits, multiple antennas are required to overwrite the entire frequency range. In addition, the shielded dark room requires a large spatial site, and the equipment used for standard consistency tests is high.
Engineers from small and medium-sized enterprises often need to rely on work experience and best practical methods to design EMC products. However, it is estimated that more than 50% of the products are not passed in the first test. When a new product is sent to the certification laboratory for compliance testing, the test failure has very high cost, not only re-test costs, but also postponed project progress and market promotion.

The TEKBOX open horizontal electric wave chamber TEM Cell TEM unit can be used in conjunction with the spectrum analyzer, which can verify the product before and after product EMC-related design modifications. The TEM Cell device is unable to obtain the same measurement results as the certified laboratory measurement, but it can be very good indicating whether the product design has radiation harassment, the engineer will clearly see the radiation situation, what is it doing whether the product changes improve EMC performance, or whether it remains unchanged. Use the TEM unit to eliminate the guessing of the product radiation harassment.
The TEM unit is a stripline device for radiation emission and immunity testing of electronic devices. Due to its size and cost, it is not an alternative to the test laboratory, which is a convenient alternative to measurement in the laboratory.
The TEKOx open transverse electric wave chamber TEM Cell unit consists of a partition, an intermediate conductive strip and a grounded wall. The 50Ω strip line is presented as a geometric shape. The test device (DUT) is placed between the bottom wall and the partition.
TBTC1 / 2/3 is an open TEM unit, which does not have a side wall, which is convenient to place DUT. No sidewalls may pick up the environment background noise, but can be taken into account by measuring the cell output signal before the DUT is powered on.
The Tekbox open TEM unit has a better frequency response as compared with the same size standard TEM unit. The high-order wave pattern of the TEM unit is limited available bandwidth. The unique design of the Tekbox TEM unit implements the resistance perpendicular to the direction of propagation. Therefore, high-order waves and resonance are suppressed.
All TEM units provide a 50Ω / 25W RF terminal load and direct block for protecting spectrum analyzers or receiver inputs.
