Direct Memory Access is introduced in the previous blog, and this blog will mainly introduce how to demonstrate how to set up and use DMA. To demonstrate this example, I use a DMA controller channel to transfer a memory location to another memory location. Like our method in this blog series: plus the generated header file as part of the BSP. These header files provide macros and functions, we can use to drive DMA. We will join this example: Xscugic.h and XIL_EXCEPTIONS.H Allow the use of interrupt controllers while xdmaps.h can be configured and used using DMA. Use the parameters provided by XParamters.h, define the device ID of the DMA and the interrupt controller, the interrupts to be used, and the length of the data to be transmitted: The next step of the development section is to write three functions to configure DMA, configure the interrupt controller, and interrupt the service program after completing the DMA transfer. In the DMA configuration function, we use the command structure provided by xdmaps.h to create a DMA command. The DMA instruction includes channel control, block descriptor, user-defined programs, generating programs and transmission results. Since this example is simple, you don't need to use all components, but we need to configure the DMA controller as follows: The next step is to initialize and configure the DMA controller, then run the interrupt setting function to connect the DMA interrupt and interrupt controller: After the above operation is completed, the source memory location is added to the data, the target position is empty before connecting the implemented processor and start transmission, to track the process to the DMA process function: When the attached source code file runs on the Microzed, the following results are displayed in the RS232 monitor output 1 to report the running state.
