AMD launches EPYC7H12 processor still 64 core but the base frequency is increased to 2.6GHz

This year, AMD launched an EPYC 7002 series processor of 7nm process, up to 64 core 128 thread, TDP up to 225W. Tonight AMD also added a new member to Epyc 2nd, or 64 core, but the base frequency increased to 2.6GHz, more than 350MHz before. EpyC 7H12 mainly facing the HPC high-performance computing market, so improving the basic frequency, from 2.25GHz from the EPYC 7742 processor to 2.6GHz, L3 cache, 128 PCIe 4.0 channels, etc., but TDP power consumption is increased to 280W. The acceleration frequency is also reduced from 3.4 GHz to 3.3 GHz. This improves the basic frequency, reducing the speed of acceleration, actually improves the performance of the processor. According to AMD, the performance of EPYC 7H12 has increased by about 11% higher than EPYC 7742, which is more suitable for HPC markets with higher performance requirements. Although AMD indicates that the EPYC 7H12 processor can be applied to the mainstream market, however, considering its target market, suggestions or liquid cooling system, partner ATOS has launched a 1U server based on Epyc 7H12 processor, up to 8 CPUs All liquid cooling heat is all used.
