I chose OIL as a medium because it is a medium I used to shoot in portraits, and because it is possible to correct and adjust all the time we need.
I don't think this is a crazy project many times, but I can see that many people are doing similar things. In fact, the EDAVID project of the University of Constatory is a large amount of money and almost unlimited resources from eight years ago.
In addition, Patrick Treesset also developed a cheap robot Paul, which has enough ability to draw face sketch.
This work is undoubtedly a good inspiration to my project. If I can formulate a solution in this extreme situation, it is very interesting.

I think a good start is to determine all aspects involved in the project.
We can consider three aspects: machinery, electronics and software.
Mechanics: The most suitable mechanical equipment is undoubtedly a robot arm, but if we claim to have certain precision, it is very expensive and complicated. To this end, I think it is more simple, cheap and easy-to-control Cartesian machine.
Electronics: I think the Raspberry Part is enough to control the entire equipment, of course, Arduino is used to control the mechanical parts.
Software: It is undoubtedly one of the most complicated aspects. When reading Anron Hertzmann, he read some works of NPR (non-photo-level real rendering), which is more suitable for me, and he proposes an algorithm that converts images into a series of curved brings. His algorithm has effectively realized this task, transforming photography into an impressionist, convincing painting style.
This language is initially "handling" language because it can be loaded into the Raspberry Party and use all available libraries, such as OpenCV.
We also need to control the mechanism. If we use Arduino to complete this task, you must write the sketch of Arduino and the communication routine with the Raspberry Pi to manage the bidirectional information.
Some tasks:

Which is the biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge is mixed color.
In one of the tasks mentioned above, we said: "Use a brush to give specific oil color." We need to mix different colors to apply this particular color, which is a very difficult task.
It is necessary to define many sub-tasks and solve one at a time.
For example: There is a color every stroke, we must use oil to make it color. To this end, we need a device that uses the brush to brush some color pigments (one of the final colors), put it on the surface, clean the brush, then brush some other colors of pigments (other components), etc. . When we have all ingredients, all ingredients are mixed together and apply the final color. Now, we need to verify that this color is the color we want (using a camera or color sensor with a specific software). If not, we should add other colors to calibrate, mix and verify again. In all of these processes, we must operate again and again until the correct color is obtained.
You will find that my method is the same as the method of human painters, because I think this is the best and simpler method.
