RenesaSas Electronics announced that the launch of engineers with "Maker Space" and developers simplified embedded design, and developed new applications through the recently introduced ARM MBED Internet of Things platform. The ARM Mbed Internet of Things device provides a new software platform and free work system, which simplifies the creation and development of accelerated networking (IoT) products, the development tools provided, regardless of professional or amateur development, including command columns Tools and Cloud Integration Development Environment (IDE), particularly focusing on connectivity, energy efficiency, security and productivity.
With the application processor ARM Cortex-A9 CPU in RZ / A1, developers can reuse software developed for Cortex-M series products while further strengthening efficiency and functions. RZ / A1 Microprocessor also supports CMSIS (Cortex Microcontroller Software Interface Standard), which is convenient for transplanting multi-execute Cortex-M series software to Cortex-A9 core and does not require major modifications.
The RZ / A1 microcontroller series is based on ARM Cortex-A9 CPU, and the operation time is 400 MHz. The system processing power can reach 1000 DMIPS3 and has the world's largest 4 wafer build RAM capacity, up to 10 MB. Compared to other ARM Mbed products, RZ / A1 microprocessors provide approximately four times DMIPS performance, and 40 times the RAM capacity. With RZ / A1 microprocessor camera output, graphics accelerator and audio treatment, engineers can quickly and efficiently actively and use simple solutions on the RZ / A1 platform.
The ARM MBED Internet of Things device is intended to simplify the deployment of the Internet of Things products through the free operating system, as well as servo-ended technology provided by the licensed software platform. Based on the platform, the platform can integrate internet communication protocols, security with standard management functions to a single solution, and optimize for power and cost-limited devices. The platform uses the established and continuously expanded Mbed hardware and hard ecosystem, providing universal construction components for the Internet of Things devices and services, assisting innovative personnel focusing on the value-added function and differentiation to accelerate the growth rate of the Internet of Things.
